The new Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Mini WLAN (SAM) mount is a compact, high-precision camera tracking platform. It is ideal for long-term exposed photos in astronomy as well as time-lapse photography during the day and at night. SAM is so compact that it really fits in any backpack or camera bag. This makes it an ideal companion for every trip, even to the most remote regions. Sky-Watcher SAM is equipped with WiFi and is controlled via your smartphone using the Star Adventurer Mini App, which is available as freeware for Android and iOS. SAM is very easy to set up and use in all modes. SAM can also be used with larger camera – lens combinations, but is ideal and very easy to use for wide-field astrophotography with standard lenses of 55mm focal length or shorter. Only a rough polar alignment is required for this and even inexperienced amateur astrophotographers can get good results. The Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Mini WLAN (SAM Astrophoto Set) contains: the Star Adventurer Mini WLAN (SAM) mount, the ball head adapter, polar finder and lighting, polar wedge and the dovetail L-mounting rail. Sky-Watcher release cables for your camera are available separately for most camera models. The Star Adventurer Mini WLAN can easily be mounted directly onto a standard tripod with a 1/4″ or 3/8″ mounting screw. The polar height can be set precisely and easily with the polar wedge included in the set. A camera can either be attached to the Star Adventurer with a ball head or the dovetail L-mount is used, to which an optional counterweight with rod can also be attached. Cameras not included!
