SKYWATCHER EXTRA HEAVY DUTY COMPUTERIZED EQUATORIAL GOTO MOUNT<\/h2>\n

The new Sky-Watcher EQ8-R Pro mount is the great, evolutionary development of the popular EQ8 Pro mount. The EQ8-R is an equatorial, extra heavy-duty observatory mount with a payload capacity of up to 50kg. It runs very quietly and is equipped with the well-known SynScan GoTo with V.5 hand control box. The mount can automatically find and track over 42,900 celestial objects from the extensive computer database. <\/p>\n

A heavy column tripod is optionally available for the EQ8-R mount. Two counterweights of 10 kg each and the V.5 hand control box are included in the scope of delivery. The mount can also be operated wirelessly with an optionally available WiFi dongle and the SynScan Pro app. <\/p>\n

The new EQ8-R has been further developed in many respects:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Internal cable routing to prevent the usual cable chaos<\/p>\n

– Improved connection options (USB, 12Volt outputs)<\/p>\n

– Optimized positioning of the drive motors for improved balance<\/p>\n

– Improved clutches on the axles for more holding power<\/p>\n

– Improved clamping screws on the prism clamp for better comfort and greater clamping force<\/p>\n

– Belt drive in the declination axis for smoother running<\/p>\n

**The new mount is no longer equipped with Freedom-Find encoders**.<\/strong><\/p>\n
