Sky-Watcher’s new top telescopes Esprit EDX with 3-element ED apochromatic optics are premium instruments of the highest quality with truly impressive performance, equal or even more powerful than comparable telescopes of the well-known high-end telescope brands.
Esprit EDX Super Apo Triplets are designed primarily for the discerning astrophotographer, but also as a fine telescope for the visual observer. The premium, superbly corrected optical system delivers detailed images with the highest contrast and imperceptible chromatic aberration, even on the brightest objects with exceptional contrast and sharpness.
The Esprit-70EDX is a new model in the range and is particularly compact but with full power. It incorporates an exceptional f/7 optical system which includes a premium lens made from Japanese Hoya FCD100 ED glass. Each glass-to-air surface has been coated with an exotic anti-reflective metal coating to achieve a maximum light transmission of 99.5%. Sky-Watcher’s proprietary Metallic High-Transmission Coating (MHTC) is the highest quality anti-reflective coating in its class!
The Esprit-70EDX does not contain a rotatable focuser, but a rotatable adapter has been installed on the drawtube, which helps to determine the image section. For extra convenience, the telescope is equipped with a carrying handle. The extremely stable, CNC-machined dual-speed rack and pinion linear power focuser has a high payload and no play and is equipped with a 2.8″ extension tube with scale. The telescope is supplied in a sturdy case with aluminum frame and foam lining.
A matching 0.92x Focal Reducer / Flattener (20332) is optionally available for photography.
The telescope is supplied without eyepieces, star diagonal and viewfinder!
