The easily transportable Sky-Watcher HERITAGE-150P (VIRTUOSO GTi), has been specially designed for wireless use via WiFi with your smartphone or tablet using the freeware SynScan app for iOS or Android. The Virtuoso GTi mount with its built-in WiFi module creates its own WiFi network so that the mount can be used anywhere without having to access another WiFi network or mobile network. After entering your coordinates into the app and completing a simple alignment procedure, you’re ready to explore the universe using the app’s intuitive touchscreen menus.
The Virtuoso GTi and the SynScan app form a fully computerized GoTo control system that allows the telescope to be automatically aligned to any object in the app’s extensive database of more than 10,000 celestial objects. The telescope includes the patented Sky-Watcher Freedom-Find™ dual-encoder technology, which allows the telescope to be moved manually without losing the previously stored position information. This allows for more comfortable, flexible and easier observation.
The same high-quality parabolic primary mirror has been used as in the proven Explorer-150P telescopes, making the Heritage-150P an excellent and powerful all-rounder that enables wonderful observations of the moon and planets as well as deep-sky objects.
The patented, collapsible FlexTube™ system was created for convenient transportation and easy storage of the telescope. It is designed for convenient use on a table, but also has a standard 3/8″ photo thread at the bottom for use on an existing tripod. However, you can also optionally use our Sky-Watcher AZ5 stainless steel tripod (no. 20316), for example. Both parts of the telescope can also be used separately. For example, you can also use the telescope tube with the dovetail bar on an equatorial mount or you can attach another telescope to the Virtuoso mount.
This telescope is therefore particularly suitable for traveling. With its simple operation and high performance, it is also very suitable for youth groups or schools, for example. The Heritage-150P Virtuoso GTi is therefore a particularly versatile telescope.
