After the eyepieces, diagonal prisms are the most important accessories for
Refractors and Schmidt-Cassegrain or Maksutov reflecting telescopes.
They will be used for more comfortable viewing during zenith observations or
needed for image inversion.
For optical reasons, these can be attached to Newton reflectors
Accessories are not used – and do not need it, since
the beam path in the Newtonian telescope makes this unnecessary.
This diagonal prism provides an upright, side-inverted image.
