The mount: The very stable Sky-Watcher EQ5 equatorial telescope mount offers excellent precision and stability and also provides the experienced astronomer with many useful functions. The mount rests on a large, adjustable tripod with stainless steel legs and tray for accessories. It is equipped with a spirit level for leveling and a pole height adjustment with a micrometer scale as well as an azimuth adjustment for pole adjustment. Furthermore, it has engraved graduated circles and control buttons for manual tracking. A polar finder scope is available as an option for precise alignment with the celestial pole. The mount can also optionally be retrofitted with a tracking in RA or both axes and a SynScan GoTo control.
