The ZWO ASI2600MM Pro is a cooled mono CMOS camera with high sensitivity and wide dynamic range, designed for demanding astrophotography. It uses the Sony IMX571 APS-C sensor with a sensor area of 23.5 × 15.7 mm (diagonal 28.3 mm). With 26 megapixels and a pixel size of 3.76 µm, it delivers detailed images with a very fine structure.
The native 16-bit ADC enables a dynamic range of up to 14 f-stops. This ensures smooth brightness gradients and precise detection of both faint nebula structures and bright star fields. The mono version really comes into its own in combination with narrow band filters.
The two-stage TEC cooling system lowers the sensor temperature by up to 30-35 °C below ambient. As a result, the dark current noise is extremely low: at 0 °C it is only 0.0022 e-/s/pix, at -20 °C only 0.00012 e-/s/pix. The HCG mode from gain 100 additionally reduces the readout noise without impairing the dynamic range.
With a weight of just 0.7 kg and a USB 3.0 interface, the camera is both lightweight and powerful. The backfocus distance of 55 mm allows it to be used with standard correctors and filter wheels. The adapters supplied facilitate integration into existing systems.
