The compact but very powerful Starquest DX102MC Maksutov Cassegrain telescope with 102mm aperture is ideal for observing double stars, details on the lunar surface or even bright planets. The Maksutov Cassegrain is a catadioptic design that uses a primary mirror and a front corrector, effectively folding the long focal length into a compact telescope tube. The high-resolution, long focal length optics are multicoated for maximum contrast and image sharpness.
The new generation Starquest DX mount is a high-quality, lightweight mount that is easy to use and suitable for both beginners and experienced observers. Once aligned with Polaris, the mount allows you to easily track celestial objects using the flexible shafts. The mount offers a maximum payload of 5kg and comes on a sturdy, height-adjustable stainless steel tripod for maximum stability. The mount is equipped with 360° drives in the right ascension and declination axes. Optionally, a DC motor drive (no. 20940) can be attached to the right ascension axis for automatic tracking. The set includes a smartphone adapter for your first attempts at photographing the night sky.
